James Denken is a 13-year-old boy with a penchant for trouble. He stands around four feet tall with fiery red hair and a wide mischievous grin. He has stunning blue eyes and a rowdy mop of hair. Currently, James is senior at the local middle school and has started up again with his old shenanigans.
When James was around 8, he accidently summoned a fairly powerful spirit. This event was only the fourth accidental contract that had ever occurred, and gathered quite a bit of press as military, police, and scientific forces had to come together to aid James. Since then, the issue has been told around the middle school much more convoluted than the even originally was. With all the hype from his fellow classmates, James has been egged on to try and summon an even greater spirit, on purpose this time.
For months, James’s greatest possessions have been a stack of enchanted items and magical books for dummies. He is determined to try and start summoning again by the end of the year. Since the incident 5 years ago, James can’t really remember how the spirit came in the first place. This frustration has left him to seek out some professional summoners for tips, at a price. For months James had been picking up shifts at the movie theater to pay for whatever a professional summoner will give him. With the most recent set of powerful spirits being summoned, the police and military are more on guard than ever, so James is ready to try again any day now.
